Soup Kitchen

The gaps between rich and poor are going expanding; The transition to Hi tech industries and major corporations Optimization programs, charge their price by the heavy figure of thousands of people loosing the means of livelihood; the media shows touching stories single-parent families - living in leaking basements and about people Nibble In garbage in search of picking parts of food.

The well established public ,receives a shock for a moment and turns back to its business.

Chabad of Herzliya does not pass the agenda. We opened a soup kitchen, which provides hot food for hundreds of poor people every day. Unfortunate people, that the meal at the Chabad soup kitchen, is their last rescue plank. The people that come to eat can be found among all ages – lonely and elderly that their power Jaded, new immigrants not absorbed properly, ill people whom work ability is lost, and even children and  Youth from separated families.

The soup kitchen provides every day, more than 200 (!!!) hot meals to elderly individuals , disable ones and those who cannot prepare their own meal by themselves.

The distribution of hot meals I also for the elderly Holocaust survivors.

Some of them eat at the soup kitchen itself, and some (limited, or people who doesn’t feel comfortable to come) – accept the food delivered to their home.

To meet the needs of the many needy people who knock on our doors, and in
order to proceed the existence of our enterprise, which gives answer and support to people who the welfare institutions cannot help, or does not know how to reach them – we need your help.

"All Israel are responsible for each other" said our sages, and the meaning is that the powerful one should take carew of the weak one, the less fortunate one. Our sages say more – all who provides help to one individual of Israel, considered as if they took care and provided to the whole world.
